Research Interests:

My current research seeks to gain structural information of the parathyroid hormone receptor (PTHR), a membrane protein critical to bone and kidney health. PTHR is a G protein-coupled receptor. Multiple endogenous ligands bind to PTHR, and each ligand has unique signaling properties. To understand the mechanisms of ligand binding and PTHR activation, I aim to solve high-resolution structures of PTHR and PTHR-containing complexes using X-ray crystallography and electron microscopy.
