More so, we aim to provide the support and opportunities that will facilitate the success of all program participants:

Programs and services for minority students

The Molecular Biophysics & Structural Biology Graduate Program (MBSB) actively seeks talented minority student applicants. The Office of Diversity Programs and Office of Health Sciences Diversity at the University of Pittsburgh, as well as the Carnegie Mellon University offer a number of relevant initiatives and activities to ensure the success of students in the Program including academic support and counseling, peer tutoring, career guidance and professional networking.

Disability equality

The Molecular Biophysics & Structural Biology Graduate Program actively seeks talented disabled student applicants. Our program covers a wide range of research topics, with various potential projects that will be available for all  students. The Biomedical Science Tower 3 (BST3), in which the core courses are held, has been designed for barrier-free access by wheel chairs. Most of the facilities in the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University are accessible by public bus transportation that is frequently available from early in the morning until midnight. Disability Resources and Services provide support for students at both universities, with more details at the respective websites at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.

Gender equality

The MBSB program aims to promote equality of opportunity and treatment for all men and women working and studying within program.
